Brooke DeRenzis works across National Skills Coalition's network of state coalitions and partners to provide strategic guidance for advancing state skills policies. She coordinates NSC's field, policy, and communications capacities to help state partners achieve policy impacts. She also facilitates peer learning across state coalitions. Brooke joined NSC in 2014 as a senior state policy analyst. Before then, Brooke was Project Director at DC Appleseed Center for Law and Justice where she led advocacy efforts on a range of public policy issues facing the District of Columbia. Prior to the DC Appleseed Center, she held research positions with the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution and the Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy at the University of Michigan. Brooke holds a master's in Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's from Sarah Lawrence College. She is based in Washington, DC.
